SUMMARY

A beautiful example, mechanically and cosmetically restored but retaining a remarkably well-preserved original interior.

DESCRIPTION

  • Taking Ford overnight from 'country cousin' to 'country club', the Model A had a cachet lacking in the workhorse Model T and suddenly film stars and presidents were happy to pose next to one
  • Powered by a 3,285cc, L-head, 40bhp four-cylinder engine with coil ignition and an integral water pump mated to a 3-speed manual gearbox
  • Dating from 1930, this smart four-door saloon is on offer from a deceased estate and was once part of a notable collection including landmark classic cars from across the globe
  • Beautifully restored coachwork with mechanicals that appear to be nicely restored – the interior, however, appears absolutely original and remarkably well preserved. Starts on-the-button and drives well.
  • Imported into the UK in 1988 with HMRC paperwork showing that the vehicle is not subject to any Customs and Excise restrictions
  • Model As are great starter classics, cheap to run, reliable, well supported, and always welcomed by the friendly Owner's Club, and this smart example is now available at a sensible guide with a flexible reserve
