SUMMARY

An opportunity to acquire a pre-war American Fire Truck that's been sympathetically converted for family use.

DESCRIPTION

  • Initially built for supply to Singapore, the Pearl Harbour attack and subsequent invasion meant this truck was diverted from the US to Australia
  • Serving its life in Brisbane, it was decommissioned in the 1980s, before being restored to show-winning condition by an avid collector
  • Part of an eclectic collection of 17 fire appliances, all in show condition, it was purchased by a UK buyer, shipped to the UK and converted to use as a party truck
  • Well equipped with catering equipment including a microwave, crockery and more, it's been used for children's parties, lunch at Goodwood, charity events and shows
  • Whilst not fast, it can be driven, is MOT exempt and its global history should ensure that this wonderful truck continues to delight for many a year yet
