SUMMARY
A left-hand drive, TD/C imported from California in 1989 and needing a sympathetic restoration.
DESCRIPTION
• The car was imported as a restoration project from California in 1989 and has been in dry storage since
• The engine is included but is not installed and will be on a separate pallet
• Currently, left-hand drive but will come with most of the parts needed for conversion to RHD
• Not registered in the UK but is on a C & E 386 Certificate
• We believe that the TD/C is quite rare with only 1,710 built. Of these only 13 were built in left hand drive - 2 in 1950 and 11 in 1953 (We suggest that interested parties conduct their own research on this)
• Special features included dual front Andrex friction shock absorbers, larger carburettors, larger valves, increased compression, twin fuel pumps, a higher performance ignition coil, as well as subtle visual cues which distinguished the TD/C from pedestrian TDs.
