1955 Morris Minor Series 2

A rare 1955 Morris Minor Series 2 803cc 2-door 'split-screen' saloon. This car has had a recent full restoration from top to bottom and inside and out.

It retains many of its original features and comes with its original registration of 'NAS 481'

In 1952, the Minor line was updated with an Austin-designed 803cc overhead valve A-series engine, replacing the original side-valve unit.

This 60 year old classic has had a full bare metal re-spray and is in remarkable condition for its age. Whilst this work was being done all the windows were removed and brand new seals fitted. The driver and passenger side weather strips were replaced along with all door seals. All the chrome-work is said to be in beautiful condition with both the front and rear bumpers having been fully stripped and restored. The wheels also have been completely stripped and re-done with brand new chrome hub caps.

The interior is described by the vendor as being in 'gorgeous' condition, benefitting from a brand new head-lining, new red carpets and restored front and rear door cards. All the seats are original and still in lovely condition. All the electrics are said to work as they should, including the semaphore indicators.

The engine and engine bay are in fine condition. During the restoration the engine was removed and cleaned with the bay being re-sprayed. The engine has been mildly upgraded with a modern carb (but the original carb comes with the car if the new owner wishes to return it to standard).

The vendor says the car drives really well.
