SUMMARY
Recently returned to the road after a gentle 35 year restoration.
DESCRIPTION
- Introduced in 1957 the coupé version of MG’s popular 1500 Roadster featured wraparound screens, upholstered door cards, wind-up windows and door locks
- The 1,498cc four-cylinder offered 72bhp, 0-60 in 15 seconds and 98mph, pretty impressive in-period
- Acquired by our client in 1984 and finally returned to the road around five years ago
- Fully rebuilt during this time including the brakes and an engine re-bore
- Treated to a fresh coat of its original Orient Red with its original steel wheels fully refurbished
- Superbly retrimmed in Deep Red with new 'bound' carpets, Rexine-covered dashboard and restored 'sprung' wheel
- A well-presented and very usable example of a hugely popular classic
