Vehicle History

Remarks

My wife secretly acquired the car with the help of a close friend as a 60th birthday present in the autumn of 2005. The friend organised its transport to Brussels by Heritage Transportation in December 2005. It was collected from Classic Revival, Chapel Lane, Epperstone, Notts. The car has been maintained and serviced by a classic car specialist in Brussels and is in very good working order. Bodywork is pretty impeccable. Its servo assisted brakes obviously indicate that it is not a précisely original specification. Documents suggest I am the fifth owner from new. The strongest clues come from garage and spare parts bills. These suggest that the Sprite was restored over a period of years between 1987 and 1994 by a Mr Ray Blanchard (by deduction, the second owner) who lived in Markyate, Herts. I have several large bills showing that he purchased new bodywork as well as many mechanical parts. Blanchard sold the car to a Mr Button in 1999 who sold it on in 2003 to a Professor, who was living in Leicester, in October 2003.

Restoration Notes

Engine rebuild.
