DESCRIPTION

Offered here is a beautifully restored 1960 Volkswagen Beetle in homage to the 1968 Walt Disney film, The Love Bug, in which a Beetle by the name of Herbie was the star. Brought into the UK in 2001 from Sweden, the car was then purchased by our vendor, who decided to carry out a full restoration. Our vendor informs us that the bodyshell was in fantastic condition, and was free of any rust / rot. The chassis was blasted, repaired and repainted before being married up once again to the bodyshell. A new wiring loom was also fitted.A new interior, which included new carpets, seats and headlining was chosen to complete the fantastic look of the car. The engine is a 1500cc unit, which again had the same treatment as the rest of the car and has been thoroughly fettled.

Supplied with bills from the recent restoration work, this gorgeous Herbie lookalike is ready to be enjoyed by its next owner with all the hard work already done.
