SUMMARY

Superbly restored, 1964 Tartan Red, 'pull door handle', 3-bearing car on steel wheels and fitted with overdrive.

DESCRIPTION

  • Any MGB enthusiast will confirm that the most desirable examples of the marque are the original 1963/64 cars with the 3-bearing crankshaft and the external 'pull' door handles
  • This lovely example dates from 1964 and has covered around 80,000 miles in the hands of our vendor and three previous keepers
  • Subject to an extensive and expensive restoration to the highest of standards by MG specialists, Snowdens of Harrogate, in 2018 with invoices for over £30,000. Further details in the condition report
  • Minimal use since and has been dry stored and mainly been used for car shows
  • Included with the car is a rare copy of an M.G.B Workshop Manual (ref: AKD 3259B) for early 3-bearing cars and a copy of the car’s Heritage Certificate

Vehicle History

Remarks

The restoration work carried out on the M.G.B was completed in May 2018 with a recorded mileage of 80,208 miles. Since this date the car has been in storage completing less than 200 miles in this period. A file although not complete contains a number of old invoices but given the extensive work carried out on the vehicle as detailed in the invoices dated 31st March 2015, 30th April 2016, 14th February 2018 & 16th May 2018 the details are in my opinion irrelevant.
