SUMMARY
A well-restored Type 14 Karmann Ghia Coupé from 20-years ownership.
DESCRIPTION
- The Karmann Ghia was a true exercise in automotive synergy, involving Volkswagen, Carrozzeria Ghia and coachbuilder Karmann
- Powered by a rear-mounted 1.6-litre air-cooled flat-four driving the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission
- Imported in 1995 and originally in left-hand drive, this Type 14 Coupé was purchased by our vendor in 2003 from its one previous UK owner, and immediately converted it to right-hand drive and replaced the engine
- Within the last two years it has benefitted from a fresh coat of Phoenix Red paint whilst retaining the black roof
- Dry stored by our vendor throughout his ownership, the car has seen very little use, although has just undergone some light recommissioning and had a fresh MOT
