Classic Car Auctions says:

An extremely well presented Cortina GXL...
On today's roads, this is a very rare sight, and especially in this condition having been fastidiously maintained by its one main owner from new.
Commonly known as "Roberts Cortina", this GXL was Robert Adams' car from new, initially as a company vehicle through the Bank he worked for. Four years later, Robert purchased the car for himself and it stayed with him until late 2014 when he passed away. Robert meticulously followed a strict daily routine of maintenance to keep it in top form, even down to lubricating the heater cable inserts. Throughout its life, Robert added period accessories to aid modern day driving and having been garaged all its days, it has remained in this original pristine condition.
These Mk III "coke-bottle" Cortinas have become quite rare, and this Onyx Green Metallic, 1600 GXL with just 59,749 miles from new must surely be a desirable addition to a collection of Classic Fords and we are all looking forward to seeing it when it arrives at auction.
