Classic Car Auctions says:

What a rare sight..a 1750 Maxi.
The very fact that this Maxi is here today indicates that it is a true survivor and has obviously been cared for over the years, as it's still doing sterling service and is the proud possessor of a new MoT. By 1976, the initial problems with the 'stretchy' control cables for the 5-speed gearbox had been mainly resolved and changes to internal oil filters eased the problems of the engine and gearbox sharing the same oil supply. Finished in White with a well preserved Blue Vinyl interior, this is a tidy motor car. With the car, are the full owners book pack complete with the original 'Passport to Service' booklet showing some main dealer stamps along with a few old invoices and receipts, and its original bill of sale showing a total of £2,403.00 supplied by Kenning Car Mart of London.

With 85bhp, a top speed approaching 100mph, and Mini-like handling, the 1750 Maxi was great fun to drive as long as you had clarified with the gearbox in advance exactly who was in charge!

Decent Maxis have become quite rare, and in this condition, with a fresh MoT and ready to drive away, this example could make an excellent  starter classic.
