SUMMARY

A unique opportunity to purchase an unregistered, virtually as new, 1976 Lancia Gamma Berlina.

DESCRIPTION

  • This amazing Gamma Berlina was ordered new (in RHD) in 1976 through a Lancia dealer in Turin for an English client who was working in Italy at the time. On taking delivery of the car the dealer was unable to track down the prospective buyer and simply pushed the car to the back of the workshop where it stood for 38 years
  • Our vendor managed to purchase the Lancia in 2014 with only 16 miles on the clock
  • Although the car had only covered delivery miles, it was in need of some recommissioning. The owner wanted the car to be left as new and had a local company, Originale Italiano, carry out the work
  • At some point during its 38 years with the dealer, the 2.5 engine was removed and substituted with a 2 litre. During the recommission, a 2.5 litre engine of the correct vintage and age was sourced from the Netherlands and overhauled.
  • A specially commissioned hardback book illustrates the 600+ hour recommissioning programme
  • Recently featured and road tested in Auto Italia Magazine
  • Only 79 miles recorded – mostly by the above road test
  • Imported to the UK on a NOVA with all taxes paid
