A very rare Series 1 that was treated, in period, to a body kit developed by TWR.
DESCRIPTION
- Launched in 1978, the all-new RX-7 featured fresh liftback styling with pop-up headlamps, neatly integrated bumpers and excellent proportions, while the well-equipped cabin boasted full instrumentation, a wide centre console and 2+2 seating
- Powered by 2.3-litre ‘12A’ Wankel rotary engine, delivering around 101bhp to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission
- This is an original, UK-supplied, first-generation (SA22C) car that's been enhanced by various additions from the TWR parts catalogue
- TWR supplied and fitted body-kit parts to the RX7s and were an authorised installer of the Elford turbo engine conversion
- Finished in Metallic Black, GHV 521W features Series 1 spoilers, a TWR steering wheel and Gold 13" TWR alloys
- This particular car appeared briefly on TV in an episode of Between the Lines (Ep 3.03)
