DESCRIPTION
The timeless Mercedes-Benz R107 SL...
The Mercedes-Benz R107 SL is now a well and truly established member of the classic car club, but remains one of the most usable modern classics money can buy. Built from 1971 to 1989, these distinctive convertibles are timeless, with plenty of classic Mercedes-Benz styling cues and unimpeachable build quality. Find a good one with the original hardtop and it's also a good bet for year-round driving. With engine variants and trim levels to suit all tastes there are plenty to choose from thanks to the R107 SL's popularity when new.
Described as 'Good to Very Good throughout', the very pretty Signal Red 500SL offered here is trimmed in Beige half leather with cloth inserts and is excellent, whilst the Walnut dashboard is in good order and the car comes complete with its matching hardtop.
With a comprehensive history file, the indicated mileage of 82,000 is backed up by a very good service record including 14 stamps in the book and there are a number of original invoices. The MoT expires on 14/12/16.
We have two of these appreciating classics in today's sale, so if you are in the market for a bright red, 80's boulevard car, then come and have a look.
