DESCRIPTION
A sparkling example of BMW's classic eighties coupé...This elegant 635 CSi Highline is superbly presented in the really cool colour combination of Alpine White with Lotus White leather and Cream carpets.
First registered in August 1989, respected restorer Andrew Coxhead of 355 International, acquired this BMW in December 2013 with the intention of restoring it as part of his collection. As is patently obvious from an inspection of the car, the return of this elegant 635's bodywork to its brilliant best was completed to a good standard. When he purchased the car our vendor spent a further £2,000 on mechanical items including new front shock absorbers and bump stops, new off-side front caliper, new front brake reaction bushes, steering box pre-tension adjustment, four wheel laser alignment and changing the air conditioning refrigerant from R12 to R134a. The complex headlight 'wash and wipe' system has been overhauled with a new wiper motor to the off side and new hoses. Our vendor, who purchased the car from Andrew Coxhead, tells us that the car has recently had an engine oil, filter and air filter change, and is in possession of an MOT valid until May 2017 with no advisories.
When properly set up and maintained, these classic 'shark nose' E24 Coupés are an absolute delight to drive. Have a good look at this super late-production example.
