A rare Press Launch car in remarkably original condition...

DESCRIPTION

Offered for sale is a 3.5L 1989 Land Rover Discovery manual that has been with the current owner for the last 10 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores an impressive 99/135. A rare Press Launch car in remarkably original condition...

Part of the 86-vehicle Discovery launch fleet in the Autumn of 1989 and subsequently retained by Land Rover as a dealer training vehicle for 3 years

Some small differences from the production vehicles: Walnut switch and stereo surrounds, fitted with sun blinds for the alpine, rear and boot window

In very original condition and has been well looked after. Light refurb work to both sills and foot wells. Dry stored for the last 15 years only coming out for shows and special occasions

Displayed at many Land Rover/ Classic car shows, Aug 2013 - Featured in Land Rover World. Feb 2017 - Featured in Land Rover Classic magazine

2018 - Selected by JLR to represent Land Rover on two occasions as part of the 70th anniversary celebrations at Land Rover Classic Works YouTube broadcast

May 2019 - Showcased at Land Rover design studios to showcase Discovery from original to current generation

Oct 2019 - Filmed by YouTube for an in-depth documentary film about '30 Years of Discovery'

These ex-Press cars (known as G-WACs) are very desirable and, although not pristine, this rare example only needs some cosmetic attention to take it to the next level
