Classic Car Auctions says:

The classic and timeless Mk2 Golf GTi. This well-cared for example has been busy but has been meticulously maintained. With the current owner having recently spent £4000 on it to keep it in fine order (backed-up with invoices), it is described as being in excellent mechanical condition whilst driving superbly. This actual car was featured in Classic Car Weekly, attracting such comments from road-tester Paul Bussey, as 'while this GTi may have clocked up more than 220,000 miles, you'll never believe it when you sit inside for the first time' and 'this is a well maintained GTi, with evidence to back this up. With some minor exceptions, this is at a high level of serviceability and presentation. The stunningly well-preserved interior has to be seen to be believed.'
