DESCRIPTION
For recommissioning and offered from a deceased's estate...This 1996 TVR Griffith 500 is presented in Metallic Blue with a magnolia leather interior and has 57,881 miles indicated. In terms of its history, we know that it changed hands in 2012 for £14,000 and its original TVR service handbook shows some service information.
This Griffith 500 'N233 SGX' was first registered in April 1996. The last MoT expired on 18/08/2012, and the car recently failed an MoT test in April 2016. We are told the car is running poorly and that the engine kept cutting out during the MoT and the test was aborted by the inspector as he was not able to test emissions nor the brakes. A scanned copy of the MoT failure sheet which shows all failed items can be seen below. All interested parties should satisfy themselves, prior to the auction, as to what may need doing and the current condition of the car. The car will be available to view on the viewing afternoon and the morning of the auction, unfortunately, the car will not be available for viewings prior to this date.
These 5-litre TVRs are fabulous when they are running properly, and if you are reasonably 'hands-on', this could be a great opportunity to acquire one at a very sensible price. This is what auctions are all about!
