Classic Car Auctions says:

The MG F mid-engined roadster was first produced (by The Rover Group) in 1995. It boasted a lively K-series 16-valve engine. The original MG F's were regarded as fine handling and enjoyable little sports-cars.

An interesting feature of the MG F was its Hydragas suspension, a system employing interconnected fluid and gas displacers which provided a surprisingly compliant ride but which could be tuned to provide excellent handling characteristics.

This very nice 1997 Mk 1 1800cc example has covered only 84,000 miles from new, having had its head-gasket, water pump and timing belt all replaced by the vendor.
