A really smart Smart. Number 417 of 2,000. Incredibly original having covered only 296km (184 miles) from new.
DESCRIPTION
- Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2001 as a concept vehicle, the Crossblade created such hysteria that Smart built a run of 2,000 individually-numbered cars
- Described by the Marketing Department as 'An open leisure vehicle uncompromisingly designed for blue skies and high spirits', the concept had no roof, no doors and a minimal screen, almost like a modern Beach Buggy
- Brabus-tuned, 70bhp, 599cc, three-cylinder in the rear with a 6-speed semi-automatic gearbox
- 0417 was supplied to the Mercedes-Benz Smart Center in Dornbirn, Austria in 2002 and remained in stock up until 2005. Its first service is recorded as 15/04/2005 at just 2km
- It's unknown if 0417 was ever registered to a customer, or if it remained in the Smart Center showroom. Its second stamp in the service book was later completed at 245km and again carried out by the supplying dealer in June of 2015
- Most recently our vendor sourced the car from Madrid in 2021 and, whilst in the UK, it remains unregistered without a UK V5C and application of NOVA is currently in process
- Included in the sale is a selection of incredibly rare ‘Smartware’ dealership-supplied accessories including a steering wheel cover, radio cover, two extra-terrestrial Crossblade hats, Crossblade sunglasses, with some of these items still wearing the original bar-codes and tags
- Complete with the original Book Pack, Service Book and even the original spare battery fob
- If you are in the market for one of these 'grown-up skateboards', 0417 with just 296km may well be the lowest mileage Crossblade available anywhere

Due to venue restrictions we need to be clear of The WEC by 1pm on Monday 12th therefore any motor vehicles not collected by this time will be taken to our transport partners storage facility in Northampton for a fee of £150 plus VAT. Storage will be charged at £10 plus VAT per day.
