SUMMARY
The 2005 4.2-S 'Final Edition' was undoubtedly the ultimate version of Jaguar's legendary X100 XKR.
DESCRIPTION
- The XKR-S 'Final Edition' was unveiled in March 2005 at the Geneva International Salon
- It retained the XKR's 4.2-litre supercharged, DOHC, 32-valve V8 producing 400bhp through a 6-speed auto box and was capable of 0-60 in 5.2 seconds on the way to 155mph
- This sparkling example is finished in Midnight Black Metallic and sits on a set of 20" split-rim Perseus alloys
- The interior is unique to the 'S'-model and is trimmed in soft-grain Ivory leather with contrasting black stitching. It features Elm veneers, black carpet, embossed mats and drilled steel pedals
- Other features included polished door treadplates, a white 'Growler' on the nose, 4.2-S badging, bright silver mesh front grille and red 'Jaguar-R' embossed brake calipers
- The indicated mileage is 49,997 and it has spent six years in current ownership with five former registered keepers
- The MOT is valid until April 2024 and was issued with no advisories
- This is a rare example of the last edition of a Jaguar classic, seems very sensibly guided and may turn out to be a rather wise investment
