Classic Car Auctions says:

A refined and well-appointed E39 based Alpina B10.

This 1999 4.6, V8 has a comprehensive service history with 13 stamps up to 150,000 miles in its documents file along with a pile of invoices, old MoTs and various manuals. Now reading 157,000, the car presents beautifully in Metallic Burgundy with a legendary Alpina interior in Cream leather piped in red. Described by the vendor as 'good to very good' the car is sat on the obligatory Alpina wheels which really set it off well, and has an Mot until May 2017.

Once upon a time, the name of Alpina had slightly garish connotations with the distinctive side-stripes a crucial accessory to anyone who wanted the world to think he had a go-faster BMW. However, by way of contrast, the B10 now represents one of the world's best four-door 'Q' cars. It's ballistically quick when you feel like having fun, or refined and relaxing when you want to potter home and listen to the news. Either way, this may well be the only car you ever need.
