Offered for sale is a 3.5L 1972 BMW 3.0CS manual that has been with the current owner for the last 8 years. Coming with an extensive history file, this lot's condition scores an impressive 106 / 135.

Shell painstakingly prepared, acid dipped, seam-welded, lead-loaded, Zinc-coated and cavities Waxoyled. Rotisserie-painted in its original Inka Orange.

Front seats were replaced with genuine BMW E24 M635 CSi leather Recaros, and rear seats professionally re-trimmed to match at Bespoke Leathering -Tamworth. Currently back with trimmer for refresh and will go for professional detailing before the auction.

Fitted with later M30B35 (3.5-litre 635CSi) injection engine mated to a 5-speed manual box. Radiator and hoses replaced. Engine runs well. Can stay with motorway traffic.

All steering, suspension and braking components have either been replaced with new, stripped and refurbished and all powder coated Not really done any miles since restoration completed 2016.  Genuine 14" Alpina wheels (period correct - 1972).

Vehicle History


BMW AG certified that car was delivered to BMW Concessionaires on 22 Dec 1972, but was first registered in the UK in March 1974 (Inka Orange). Polaris Silver with a black vinyl roof when I acquired it.  Invoices outlining the restoration are present.
