Vehicle History

Remarks

Some invoices from its time in South Africa, along with NOVA and UK V5. The MG version of the generic BMC ADO16, the Mk.1 was launched in 1962 with a spacious interior and hydrolastic suspension. The Mk1 was initially available only as a four-door with the two-door arriving in 1967. The 1100 was powered by a transversely mounted BMC 'A' Series engine of 1098cc and the MG version sported twin SUs and was faster, noisier, and altogether more desirable. They were usually finished in two-tone paint with MG grilles and badging and a Walnut facia.
