Smooth and responsive with excellent oil pressure. Impressive engine bay. Recent tasks; "Change engine oil and install new oil filter (genuine new old stock Unipart). Investigate low heater efficiency. Replace the heater matrix. Replace coolant hoses (factory spec with string reinforcement). Flush cooling system and install 3 litres of fresh Bluecol antifreeze. Replace alternator and power steering drive belts. Replace spark plugs. Replace contact points, set dwell angle (27 degrees) and ignition timing to standard 6 degrees BTDC with no retard necessary. Lubricate distributor. Replace fuel filter with genuine NOS. Replace fuel pump diaphragm as a matter of course. Service carburettors, balance and tune. Replace reserve tap Viton 'O' ring. Replace air filters."
Recent tasks; "Drain automatic gearbox fluid. Remove sump and replace filter screen. Replace selector shaft seal. Clean and refit with a new gasket. Refill with the correct Borg Warner-type fluid. Check control pressure and adjust as necessary".

Lightly skim original front brake discs and install genuine N/OS Girling brake pads. Re-pack front hubs with fresh grease and adjust hub end float. Replace all 3 flexible brake hoses and brake pipes. Replace track rod end gaiters as necessary and adjust tracking. Replace anti-roll bar rubber bushes. Drain rear axle oil. Replace pinion oil seal and refill with fresh EP90 axle oil. Grease propellor shaft splines. Lubricate rear leaf springs and replace rear rubber bobbin mountings. Change power steering fluid. Check steering idler level and top up as necessary".
