Lot No. 182 -
2007 Land Rover Range Rover Sport ex David Beckham
Sold for: £31,350
Designed and upgraded for David Beckham by Kahn Conversions in 2007 at a cost of £100,000, this superlative Range Rover Sport has a throaty 4.2 supercharged V8 petrol engine and a unique interior that includes hand-stitched quilted leather seats, a bespoke sound system and twin rear screens for Brooklyn and Romeo to play on their Playstations. There is a plaque bearing the moniker "Designed for David Beckham" and the V5C lists David Beckham as the first owner, with the vendor being the second. First registered with the numberplate "DB1001" the history file includes a speeding summons in the name of his sister Joanne, to whom he subsequently gifted the car. With just over 62,000 miles indicated this car offers a superb driving experience; everyone should get the chance to drive a supercharged petrol Range Rover at some point. It is also notable that Victoria Beckham had a hand in the design of the hugely popular Range Rover Evoque, perhaps inspired by the additions to this car. Whilst diesel variants of Range Rovers abound, petrol versions are very rare, and this personalised car with its impeccable provenance offers a unique future investment opportunity. David Beckham is arguably one of the most famous personalities on earth, and certainly a titan of sport, and recent sales of celebrity-owned cars have far exceeded the true market values of contemporary models.
Please note the number plate "JSP 5X" is not included in the sale and retention proceedings have begun.
