Classic Car Auctions are to offer some exceptional low mileage Everyman Classics from BMW, VW, Mercedes and Ford at its forthcoming sale on the 5th October.

Just recently consigned is this fabulous 1975 BMW 2002 TII Lux which scores an impressive 133 out of 135 on the condition report. This high score is thanks to the two-year restoration at a cost of £20,000 which included a Soda blast of the bare shell followed by a complete nut and bolt restoration. The engine has been completely rebuilt along with upgraded brakes, refurbished seats, alloy wheels and re-chromed bumpers. Estimated at £25,000 to £30,000 this is an exceptional matching numbers sports saloon worthy of taking pride of place in any collection.

For something slightly more modern and one of the most classic of shapes, a 1993 VW Golf GTi Sportline Cabriolet. This car is in presented in a very original condition and has been owned by the same owner from new. During this time the car has travelled just 26,000 miles. Supplied new by Listers of Stratford it has been maintained by the local VW garage and the same master technician, with the exception of a short term Sorn. The low mileage is supported by an extensive history file which includes all tax discs and MOTs. At an estimate of £20,000 to £25,000 this is an unrepeatable VW Golf from single ownership and being well maintained.

Our next lot could be described as a wolf in sheep’s clothing or as our consigner prefers a Porsche in a Gentleman’s overcoat! Either way, this is a cracking car that was a collaboration between Mercedes and Porsche taking 18 days to build each one. This left-hand-drive 1994 Mercedes-Benz E500 (W124) was supplied new to Japan and was first registered in the UK in 2017. This very high specification 65,000-mile powerhouse is estimated at £20,000 to £25,000 and comes with an extensive history file and a Mercedes-Benz booklet in Japanese. This genuine 5.0-litre 322bhp V8 is offered at a very reasonable guide price and not to be missed.

This 1974 Ford Escort Mk1 1300E is a superb opportunity to own a car that has been in the same family from new and with just 36,723 miles on the clock. This rare Executive model has the additional instruments, three-spoke steering wheel and the wooden dashboard and door cappings. Being in the same family for 45 years, it has been passed down three generations with three owners listed on the paperwork and comes with an extensive history file including the original service book dealer brochure, receipts, MOTs, tax discs and invoices. At an estimated £10,000 to £12,000 this low mileage Executive Ford is becoming very collectable.

Gary Dunne, Classic Car Auctions auction manager commented: “These latest cars are superb additions to our sale. A wonderful variety of our offerings, low mileage classics in the Ford to modern collectables in the Golf Sportline and the Mercedes.”

“The BMW 2002 is a superb car having undergone such a detailed restoration will make the potential purchaser very happy.”
