DESCRIPTION

This MGB GT has been restored to its original factory specification. It was purchased new by Sir Richard Hadlee when he played cricket for Notts County Cricket Club. The car had been in dry storage since 1991. It was there that the car remained for 23 years until the present vendor purchased it in 2014 and commenced restoration.

The log book shows NCCC as the previous owner and more importantly a signed invoice from Sir Richard Hadlee when he sold the car. We are told there are also original documents showing the Hadlee name including Passport to service book, BL Super Cover, bill of sale and recent e-mails from Sir Richard Hadlee in New Zealand discussing his ownership of the vehicle.

The vendor informs us that the restoration comprised of:New brake discs, callipers pads, brake hoses,S/S back plates, wheel cylinders, adjusters, radiator & heater hoses, new bushes to all suspension components, new fuel pump,ignition/steering lock, door locks, refurbished wheels, S/S exhaust system, screen washer pump & jets, wiper blades, front wings, full cellulose respray, new S/S body finishers and detailed engine bay, new door & tailgate seals and a full service carried out. It was MOT'd with no advisories. The underside of the car is solid and original with no welding having been done.

It is reported the car drives just as it should do with no rattles knocks or squeaks and smooth overdrive operation and very good oil pressure. Viewing recommended.
