Classic Car Auctions says:

Ready for resurrection...a 1966 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 4.2 Coupe 2+2 'project' offered for restoration. Let's be clear this is a project that ran out of steam 15 years ago. The car is right-hand drive, Silver, with Wire wheels and a manual 4-speed gearbox. It's been dry stored and the bodyshell is described as being 'solid and in good order' having been partly prepared and partially painted in Grey Oxide undercoat. The interior is described as "not bad at all" and has been restored at some stage and can easily be 'returned to condition'. The Webasto roof is poor and needs restoring, however, the bonnet, doors, and rear hatch are all good. The recently arrived (24th May) Jaguar Heritage Certificate confirms that this car was manufactured on 11/07/66 and finished in Opalescent Dark Blue. The chassis number ties up and its original registration number was 'DSO 672E'.

Although this car is a 'project' that has been partially stripped, it is up on its wheels with the engine, exhaust, gearbox, and steering etc all fitted, and the car rolls and steers. The car looks reasonably sound with lots of potential, although it is a major project, however, with the values of 2+2 E-Types catching up the 2-seat cars, this may be an excellent opportunity.

We currently do not hold a V5 for this car and any successful buyer will have to fill in an application for a new one.

The car will only be available for viewing on Friday afternoon and the morning of the auction.
