Classic Car Auctions says:

An attractive 964 Carrera 2 Cabriolet finished in Baltic Blue metallic.

Owned by a Porsche enthusiast for the last 14 years, this most attractive 911 benefitted from an engine rebuild with new pistons, cylinders and  seals about 8,000 miles ago, and has recently been resprayed in its original Baltic Blue Metallic which contrasts nicely with its blue piped, cream leather interior.

In the vendor's words. " She's absolutely totally reliable and has never let me down or failed to start even after being stored for around 6 years. I took her to Somerset earlier in the year and on a run was rewarded with 38mpg - nice surprise!"  He describes the car as "Good to very good " all round and it will come to auction with a fresh MoT.

This is a fabulous 964 Cabriolet in a great colour combination.

Vendor Condition Report

Overall: 90 / 135

Bodywork: Glass:
Paint: Chrome:

Re sprayed in May, 2016. The rear spoiler control is intermittent. Sometimes it works correctly, sometimes it doesn't. I'm advised that the fault is with the controller. This is the original that came with the car and now needs replacement. It doesn't affect performance in any way, but obviously isn't as it should be.

Seating: Headlining:
Dashboard: Boot:

The interior is cream leather, piped blue to match the exterior, no rips or tears. Has heated seats.

Components: Starting:
Appearance: Running:

Engine beautifully responsive... engine rebuild about 8,000 miles ago. Power steering fluid pipe replaced and new ABS sensors fitted this year. Engineer commented on how particularly clean the engine is.

Gears: Drive-shaft:

Very good. Clutch is strong.

Running Gear

Axles: Chassis:
Suspension: Bearings:
Brakes: Wheels/Tyres:

Good brakes.

Minor: Major:

The Hot air controller needs attention. There is heater control and the windscreen demists fine, so again a minor fault, but the only way to get this fixed is to send the unit to Germany (at a cost of approx £290 depending upon the exchange rate) and I simply didn't have time to send it away and get it back before the sale.
