Vehicle History

Any motor racing history book will tell you, that during the 1950s and 1960s, the little silver bullets, known as the"Porsche Spyders", were notoriously successful. Competing against the might of Aston Martin, Ferrari and Jaguar, and driven by the likes of Moss, Hill, Von Trips, Behra and Gurney, their list of victories is legendary. 'Spyders Inc' of Gloucestershire have been designing and building component and specialised leisure vehicles for the world leisure industry since 1995, and have since 2003 become best known for their accurate reproduction of a timeless classic - the 718 RSK.

GRK 590J has a good history file with details of the restoration and origin of parts. The RSK is registered as a Volkswagen on the V5. It would have cost around £35k to buy this direct from Spyders Inc

The RSK's GRP shell was originally made by GP Projects in Isleworth. They are well known for Beach Buggies and other VW derived replicas. They used Trace Engineering in Oldham as agents and this subsequently morphed into Spyders Inc in Gloucester. Spyders did the trimming and checked the car over in mid-2018.
