DESCRIPTION
- The Phase 1.5 was launched in the UK in January 1988 with production ending in July 1990
- Dating from January 1989, this example is in finished black and sits on black 15" alloys
- Correct Phase 1.5 interior in half-grey leather with red stitching with dark grey/ silver "Quattro" velour cloth panel inserts with a red stripe through the middle
- 1.9-litre, SOHC 8-valve, belt-driven XU9JA engine producing 128bhp. 5-speed manual gearbox
- Factory-fitted equipment includes electric front windows, sunroof, heating and ventilation
- Recently subject to a respray, new upholstery and carpeting
- Still immensely popular. No hot hatchback has ever been more beguiling to drive
