Classic Car Auctions says:

Bid on this Lot

One of the two, original, UK-registered FJ45 Land Cruisers...

  • Brought to the UK in 1976 as a demonstrator by Toyota and sold to broadcaster Ned Sherrin's brother
  • With the Sherrin family for 20 years on their farm, with handwritten correspondence between them and the subsequent owner in the file
  • The large history file also contains old MOTs, fascinating letters between owners, maintenance works all validating the 71,150 miles (atoc)
  • The essence of this somewhat battered old Land Cruiser is its provenance and originality - if you don't 'get it' you wont 'get it'
  • Original Toyota jack and jacking handles, starting handle, toolkit bag, inspection lamp, floor mats, sound deadening panel
  • Unrestored, it is the perfect candidate for a cosmetic restoration or, ideally, keep it as it is
