Classic Car Auctions says:

An early, 'Bay Window' T2 Westfalia..
This is the real deal, being an original 1970, left-hand drive Westfalia 'pop top' version with supporting authentication.
This car has lived most of its life in the dry climate of Italy but was protected from the blazing sun, which might explain its excellent general condition prior to being imported to the UK. With the car, is a comprehensive history file from its time in Italy and it's clear that it has been regularly maintained and well cared for.
Since arriving over here, the car has been treated to a bright fresh coat of Green and White paint, new canvas for the 'pop top' and has had an alternator upgrade replacing the original dynamo.
The interior is pure Westfalia and includes a cooker, sink, fridge and a power hook up along with two extremely rare hammocks, one across the front seats and one for the roof compartment.
Mechanically the bus runs a well sorted, 1600 twin-port flat four and is said to drive very well with an unusually smooth (for a VW) gear change! The suspension has been upgraded and the stance is slightly more aggressive with a 2" drop.
This is a cracking T2, 'bay window', Westie, and is ready to be enjoyed now that summer is here.
